OUR METHODOLOGY
The methodology adopted by Game Earth to calculate carbon emissions is unique, innovative, and rigorous. Developped by our partner Genba with the help and database of ADEME, it identifies with great details the direct and indirect carbon footprint of professionals from the sports industry.
We look at several categories such as food and diet, transportation, use of specific equipments, as well as digital footprint. We decided to use a carbon cost of 100 € per ton, even though the current price fluctuates between 25 € and 30 € on the european market.
Why such an ambitious approach?
Because unlike current european regulations, we are taking into account the societal impact of each emision.
Our methodology, built by Genba, is based on Ademe’s database and was approved by BL Evolution, a renowned carbon strategy consulting firm that helps companies with their ecological transition and provides innovation and actionnable bespoke CSR strategies.
